Job description
Position Overview: Responsible for managing and estimating construction projects of varying complexities. This individual must possess knowledge of construction processes, strong estimation skills, and a solid understanding of construction materials and methods.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage construction plans, budgets, and schedules
- Oversee construction operations to ensure quality workmanship
- Prepare cost estimates for project bids
- Manage subcontractor costs and schedules
- Analyze construction drawings and specifications for cost purposes
- Lead project meetings and site visits
- Coordinate with multiple stakeholders to ensure effective project delivery
- Ensure that project is completed on time and on budget
- Provide accurate job cost information and post-project analysis
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in construction project management and estimating, preferably in the concrete, paving, earthwork, demolition, structures, heavy and highway sectors
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and other project management software
- Ability to read and understand blueprints
- Ability to work independently or as a team
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Strong leadership skills
- Knowledge of applicable safety regulations
