Our client is looking for a
Medical Buyer to procure healthcare, hospital, and indirect operational supplies for multiple facilities across Arizona. The right professionalwill need to have prior experience in managing suppliers, preparing purchase orders and overseeing inventory flow. Medical Buyer Responsibilities:
- Process purchase orders and invoices in addition to managing competitive pricing and negotiation with vendors
- Maintain accurate records of all procurement activities, contracts, and supplier information
- Evaluate supplier performance and establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess their reliability and responsiveness
Resolve any issues or disputes with suppliers in a timely and professional manner - Work closely with end-users to understand their specific requirements and quality expectations
- Analyze market trends and price fluctuations to make informed decisions on procurement strategies
- Manage inventory levels to ensure the timely availability of essential supplies while minimizing excess stock
- Identify and source a variety of hospital and office supplies, including medical equipment, stationery, office furniture, and janitorial supplies
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, negotiate pricing and terms, and secure cost-effective agreements
Medical Buyer Requirements:- 1-2+ years of procurement experience
- Bachelor’s degree in business, purchasing, supply chain management or related field is preferred
- Proficiency in Excel
- ERP system experience is preferred
