The Global Markets & Technologies (GM&T) World Business Unit delivers technological solutions (molecules, equipment and services) to support the new markets of energy transition, maritime logistics and scientific exploration, in order to accelerate Air Liquide sustainable growth. To support the energy transition, GM&T brings environmentally friendly solutions to the clean energy market with hydrogen energy and Bio-Natural Gas for vehicles, refrigerated transport using nitrogen, but also the treatment and injection of Biogas into the energy grid as a local power source. This Process Engineer will be a part of a 7 person Process Engineering team supporting the Innovative Membrane System (IMS) Fiber Plant processes. You will be responsible for independently or in conjunction with others to analyze performance, identify key improvement opportunities, develop action plans, and execute improvement in support of achieving the organization's objectives in safety, quality, delivery, and cost.Salary range for this position in Newport DE is $80k to $90kResponsibilities Be a participant and a role model in the plant safety management processes Be a role model for a culture of continuous improvement, results ownership, urgency, operational discipline, engagement, and collaboration Monitor and analyze selected performance data Identify hidden opportunities for prevention and for improvement through analyses, study, observation, and operator interactions Execute on assigned continuous improvement projects that drive safety, quality, delivery, or cost objectives. Develop and own action plans to deliver performance results that exceed objectives. Lead problem solving for issues escalated from the operators. Analyze to determine possible causes, act to verify the cause, provide immediate solutions, and implement preventive actions to make the problem disappear forever. Ensure compliance with applicable engineering standards and quality system requirements Own selected work instructions, ensuring clarity and effectiveness. Assist in the training of operators, enabling them to generate improvement ideas and to sustain the improvements. Participate in the design, debug, and commissioning of capital projects. In conjunction with the ATS (Advanced Technical Solutions) function, launch new products and commission new equipment. Expose the organization to best-in-class manufacturing practices and principles, staying abreast of the latest applicable technologies Participate in strategic planning (capacity, technology, etc.) Interface and maintain relationships with the Operations, Maintenance, Technology, HSE, ATS, and R&D functions Requirements Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering 2+ years of Plant Manufacturing experience Working knowledge of Root Cause Analysis (RCA Methodology) Preferred Six-sigma Green Belt or Black Belt Basic knowledge of SPC methodologies Strong knowledge of Microsoft (Word, Powerpoint, Excel) or Google (Docs, Slides, Sheets) suite Experience using statistical analysis software (JMP, Minitab, MATLAB, etc) Six-sigma Green belt or Black belt certificationAdditional Information This position is identified as "safety-sensitive" and is subject to random drug testing in accordance with the current Drug and Alcohol Policy and/or state law.
