GE Smallworld/Magik Consultant (GIS)
Responsibilities:
- Analysis, Design, development, testing, and implementation of geographical information system using GE Smallworld .
- Prepare Impact Analysis and Technical Design docs for new releases.
- Work on supporting the application including Bug fixes, Health monitoring, Patching, and User queries.
- Lead the design, build, test, and deployment of solutions on the GE Smallworld platform.
Required:
- BA in Software Engineering, IT, or related fields.
- 5 years of total GIS related to the Utilities Industry experience.
- 4 years of hands-on skills in the GE Smallworld suite of solutions, including Magik code development.
- In-depth knowledge in Electric Transmission and Distribution.
- Experience with at least 1 or 2 full-cycle implementations of the GE Smallworld platform for a utility with hands-on design, development, and deployment experience.
- Development experience in C, Java, JSP, and EJB a plus
- Experience in using CICD and DevOps a plus.
- Excellent analytical and communication skills.
Location: Remote - USA
Duration: 12 months
Visa: US Citizen or Green Card only. No OPT or H1B support currently.
