Job description

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will speak fluent Spanish, perform daily functions of the Human Resource (HR) department including Recruiting, interviewing and hiring (onboarding) both office staff and field workers. They will also be responsible for all clerical duties, be thoroughly knowledgeable with employee benefits, leave of absence, and enforcing federal and company policies. Supervisory Responsibilities:

This is not specifically a supervisory position. However, the successful candidate will oversee scheduling, initial assignments, and workflow of new employees within the company and will also assist with constructive and timely performance evaluations.

General Skills Required:

+ Extremely detail oriented & have ability to problem solve.

+ Bilingual – Spanish/English

+ Excellent organization and time management skills.

+ Excellent data entry and computer skills to include Microsoft Office.

+ I-9, E-Verify and other necessary human resources knowledge/skills.

+ Knowledge of employment recruiting, human resources information systems and onboarding.

+ Ability to read and audit files with a high degree of clarity and understanding.

+ Self-starter traits for working independently and following through on duties.

+ Above average writing, communication, telephone, and customer service skills.

+ An ability to draft professional letters and emails to applicants and employees.

+ Exhibit flexibility with last minute changes.

Other preferred skills would include:

+ Knowledge of DOT / FMCSA ( CDL truck driver) audits/regulations.

+ Construction trades knowledge.

+ Familiarity with internet job posting boards.

+ Employee insurance and benefits administration.

+ Experience with career and job fairs.

+ Knowledge of Mac/MacBook computers and laptops.

+ Clean motor vehicle record for occasionally driving a company vehicle.

Work schedule is typically Monday through Friday from 9AM to 5:30PM with an occasional Saturday for our quarterly employee meeting. Typical busy hiring season may be from February to August which will increase workload demand.

Education and Experience:

AA degree preferred but is not required. However, the successful candidate must have office/business administration experience and preferably human resource experience.

Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.

Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities.

Hourly wage for this position will be negotiated based upon candidate’s skills that align with the described qualifications, experience and responsibilities.
