Software Developer and Planner for Neuroscience Data Management

Job description

We are seeking a skilled Software Developer and Planner to lead our development team. This position has two main responsibilities: supporting the development of a specialized Data Management (DM) platform for neuroscience electrophysiology research and managing a custom coding sales pipeline. This position involves managing a team of 5+ software development professionals and collaboration with other partners.

Base Salary is $55,000/Yr. with 10% uncapped commissionable sales

Key Responsibilities:

1. Lead and manage a team of 5+ software developers and specialists.
2. Develop a user-friendly interface (UI) for data upload, retrieval, and sharing, incorporating login security and access management.
3. Integrate the platform with Decentralized Cloud Storage (DCS) partners for efficient and secure data storage.
4. Align the platform’s file structure with NeuroData Without Borders (NWB) standardization.
5. Implement and test live data streaming features, ensuring high-speed and reliable data transfer.
6. Collaborate with partners for hardware and software updates supporting live streaming.
7. Ensure high levels of data integrity and tracking within the research process
8. Drive commissioned based sales incentives by offering custom coding work to our customers.

Skills and Requirements:

1. Proficiency in developing UIs using microservice frameworks.
2. Experience with cloud-based data storage and sharing platforms.
3. Knowledge of neuroscience electrophysiology data types.
4. Familiarity with NWB standardization and HIPAA compliance.
5. Experience in working with large datasets and high processing speeds.
6. Strong leadership, problem-solving skills, and ability to work collaboratively.
7. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.

Preferred Additional Qualifications:

• Experience with blockchain-mediated decentralized storage solutions.
• Familiarity with parallelism data upload structures.
• Proficiency in data security and authorization protocols.
• Software sales experience
