Job Description:
The Accounts Receivable and ISU Card Services Office at Iowa State University is seeking candidates for two Managers of Accounts Receivable and ISU Card Services to lead a collaborative and innovative team. The Accounts Receivable and ISU Card Office serves students, parents, sponsors, university departments, employees, and external customers with their financial and ISU identification card needs.Â
A Manager of Accounts Receivable and ISU Card Services will:
- provide leadership for the office.
- lead the effort to provide excellence in customer service, account resolution, and compliance with respect to the University Billing, payment, and ID Card Services.Â
- provide oversight of the refunding process, Third Party Billing, Educational Tax Credit Reporting, departmental training, sales and charge item oversight, ISU Card system functionality.Â
- provide compliance oversight, development, and enforcement of the policies and procedures of the Accounts Receivable and ISU Card Office, Iowa State University, State of Iowa Board of Regents, The State of Iowa, and the U.S. Department of Education.Â
- assist the Director of Receivables and ISU Card Services in daily operations and is responsible for creating and coordinating innovative customer service efforts, business process improvements, and in-depth reporting mechanisms.Â
The successful candidate must have exceptional ability to manage and mentor staff at all levels promoting teamwork, while prioritizing complex projects with multiple deadlines, and the ability to make independent judgements resolving issues and escalations with internal and external customers. The candidate will possess strong leadership skills and the ability to react to the changing needs of the University and the ability to create new approaches and create enhancement outcomes to receivables and ISU Card processes.
Example Duties:Â
- Assist in creating training materials for departmental billing system users.Â
- Primary liaison for the annual 1098-T tax reporting including implementation and oversight of successful tax filings
- Oversight for military, veteran, and vocational rehabilitation and third party sponsor students billing. Works with military and state agencies and oversees all contracts and receivables to the University.
- Will interact with students, parents, and other offices regarding escalated student and customer account issues.
- Ensures accurate payment application of federal financial aid and ensures compliance with refunding policies.Â
- Serves on the University Orientation Committee representing Student Billing and ID Card Office.
- Collaborate with enrollment management, financial aid, registrar's office, student affairs, academic affairs, finance, and other internal departments to ensure accuracy and the proper flow of information as it pertains to student, employee, and customer identity and billing processes.
- Oversees the integrity of Iowa State University student and customer billing statements.
- Oversees the integrity and design of the ISU Card in collaboration with University Marketing.Â
