Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Automotive Body Shop Manager to oversee the body shop operations at our dealership in Lawrence, Kansas. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a background in automotive repairs, and a passion for providing exceptional customer service. This is a full-time management position with a competitive salary and benefits package.
Compensation & Benefits:
This position offers a competitive salary in the range of $75000 to $100000 per year, paid semi-monthly. In addition, we offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes health insurance, paid time off, and opportunities for advancement within the company.
Responsibilities:
- Manage daily operations of the body shop, including scheduling repairs and assigning work to technicians
- Ensure all repairs are completed in a timely and efficient manner, while maintaining high quality standards
- Oversee inventory management and ordering of necessary materials and supplies
- Monitor and enforce safety protocols and OSHA regulations
- Provide excellent customer service by promptly addressing any concerns or issues from customers
- Train and supervise body shop technicians, ensuring they have the necessary tools and resources to perform their jobs effectively
- Collaborate with other departments, such as sales and service, to coordinate repairs and ensure a smooth workflow
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices, and implement new techniques and technologies in the body shop
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent, post-secondary education in automotive repair is preferred
- At least some experience in automotive body repair, with a strong understanding of repair techniques and processes
- Prior management or supervisory experience in a body shop setting is highly preferred
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with estimating software and inventory management systems
- Familiarity with OSHA regulations and safety protocols in a body shop setting
