Job description
Central, LA: 2 MD's and 2 OD's in a high volume, cataract and refractive practice is seeking a full-time ophthalmologist who is motivated, innovative, capable of moderate to high surgical volumes and interested in the business of medicine. Anticipated volume of 1,000 cataracts per year and room to grow. Practice has a well-established community and optometric referral base for over 30 years and is located within a medical community with a 170,000-drawing population. A highly efficient, eye-only ASC is attached to the practice. Practice also has on-site Lasik suite, current generation diagnostic technologies and optical dispensary. Generous income package of $400,000 plus bonus and partnership opportunity. Centrally located. This area is an attractive, family-oriented community that is often referred to as not too big, not too small. In addition to excellent schools, three universities and very reasonably priced homes, the city is proud of its cultural activities including museums, theatre groups, a symphony, a ballet company, a wonderful zoo, just to name a few. Central Louisiana is perhaps best known as Sportsman's Paradise. Canoeing, boating, water sports, hunting and camping facilities abound. If you prefer golfing there are five beautiful courses, including one listed on the Audubon Trail. In addition, easy access to some of the state's larger metropolitan areas including Baton Rouge, Lafayette and Shreveport make this "Crossroads of Louisiana".
