Position Summary


The Department of Psychiatry of The University of North Carolina School of Medicine at Chapel Hill is seeking a junior to mid-level clinician with special interest or expertise in geriatric psychiatry. This is a full time position at the Clinical Assistant Professor or Clinical Associate Professor level.

Responsibilities will include: providing clinical services on the inpatient geriatric psychiatry unit and in the outpatient geriatric psychiatry clinics, and clinical training and teaching of psychiatry residents and fellows, medical students other health care trainees and clinicians.


Minimum Education and Experience Requirements


MD or DO

Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience


The successful candidate should have strong clinical skills. Evidence of scholarly achievement including peer-reviewed publications is desirable but not essential. Special consideration will be given to candidates who have completed a geriatric fellowship.
