OTP RECEPTIONIST NORTHWEST FACILITY - INDIANAPOLIS INDIANA

The OTP Receptionist is responsible for greeting and assisting all visitors, answering calls, and checking in patients. In addition, the receptionist may assist with various clerical duties and projects as assigned by OTP Program Director.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education : High school graduate or equivalent.

Experience: Two (2) years experience on a multi-line telephone switchboard, preferably in a heath care environment, computer skills and any combination of education, training, or experience in a hospital environment, preferred.

Preferred Requirements: May be required to work occasional overtime and flexible hours.

POSITION SPECIFIC RESPONSBILITIES

• Greet and assist all visitors, ensuring that they sign the visitor log and obtain a visitor pass.
• Complete billing episode and patient check-in upon arrival.
• Answer and disseminate all incoming calls on the switchboard in a professional and courteous manner within three (3) rings. 
• Provide assistance to patients and employees as needed.
• Facilitate inquiry call sheet and route to clinician for inquiry calls.
• Take inquiry calls as needed and enter inquiry call form data into MS4 system.
• Route new patient requests to counselor or Program Director for approval.
• Schedule new patient intake appointments.
• Enroll new patients in Lighthouse Central Registry database, ensuring all patient data entered is accurate.
• Maintain MD schedule in Methasoft and provide to physician daily.
• Print daily reports and provide to appropriate parties as indicated.
• Reconcile cash box and submit to business office daily.
• Ensure the front door and reception window are locked at the end of each day and opened each day, both by appropriate/scheduled times. 
• Check voicemail daily and return/route calls as appropriate.
• Monitor general waiting area for safety and report any concerns to Security Guard and/or Program Director. 
• Area cleaned and professional at all times

GENERAL PERFORMANCE STANDARDS

• ­­­­­Completes mandatory in-services annually and as assigned.
• Maintains professional licensure/certification, if required.
• Participates in continuing education opportunities, if required.
• Attends and participates in monthly departmental meetings.
• Accepts direction and adheres to departmental procedures.
• Accepts direction and adheres to hospital/clinic policies and procedures.
• Adheres to clinic policies concerning conduct and dress.
• Maintains confidentiality of facility patients.
• Adheres to hospital/clinic policy concerning attendance and tardiness
