Job Title: Facilities and Engineering Technician (Temp to Hire)
Location: Rockville, MD
Pay Rate: $30-60/hr
Duration: 12-month contract to hire, high possibility convert to a full-time role
Job Summary:
We operate a state-of-the-art facility in Rockville, Maryland with five GMP rooms in order to augment its global research and development capabilities and to support clinical development of multiple cell therapy platform technologies in the US. We are on a rapid growth trajectory and have a highly energized and accomplished team driving to new frontiers of care for cancer patients. We are seeking a Facilities and Engineering (F&E) Technician to join our team.
This position assists in the evaluation, repair, and replacement of utilities, manufacturing, or other facility equipment as part of the F&E team, as well as setup/teardown of conference rooms and assembly and repair of office furniture.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Inspect all building mechanical rooms and equipment, in order to provide safe and clean working conditions for employees.
- Respond to requests for minor maintenance and repair work orders from the F&E customers, perform minor repair tasks, and communicate needs to others for quick and efficient service and repair of deficiencies.
- Assist other functions and trades, in order to perform and accomplish high quality work.
- Attend organizational meetings to ensure accurate, timely and correct maintenance and record keeping of the maintenance function.
- Provide information and assistance to building occupants, planners and others involved in major alterations/renovations to the facilities.
- Attend technical training to remain up to date with new equipment that may be installed in the building or to update skillset as necessary.
- Complete records as directed by Facility Manager, to ensure accurate record keeping. supply plans and company goals.
- Comply with the company's Environmental Health and Safety related procedures and Information Security procedures.
- Perform other duties and tasks as assigned.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Good working ethics, including but not limited to honesty, integrity, professionalism, responsibility, fairness and equality, respect, and accountability.
- High School or an Associate diploma at a minimum.
- Ability to safely use hand and power tools.
