Role Summary: The Component Exchange (UX) Product Manager is responsible for overall commercial ownership of Cooper's remanufactured parts business. The Product manager will coordinate directly with customers, suppliers, and Cooper's manufacturing and outside sales teams to sell refurbished products, ensure proper stocking levels, and source material to rebuild. In this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing a new UX strategy for Cooper. The candidate must also be willing to travel between Sales regions, Houston, TX ,St. Rose,Louisisana and the Odessa, TX/ Sadie, locations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The UX Product Manager will be responsible for the following:
- Developing and executing a new UX strategy for Cooper
- Manage price/delivery inquiries, formal quote requests, sales orders, and service orders for Cooper's UX product line. This includes processing, expediting, problem solving and detailed technical support
- Identify sources to procure used parts to feed the UX business
- Coordinate daily with production and repair centers to ensure proper stocking levels of UX inventory
- Develop and foster relationships with customers, account managers, and project managers
- Maintain a customer focus while working in a fast-paced numbers driven environment
- Embrace full "wing to wing" ownership of all commercial operations transactions
- Understanding and knowledge of complex commercial terms, incoterms and ability to support point of contact to ensure execution of contractual terms
Required Qualifications: - High school diploma or GED required
- Associate's or bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is strongly preferred
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience in sales or customer care experience in oil & gas, power, heavy equipment, or automation & controls) preferred
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in a machine shop or production role
- Strong product knowledge of large-bore slow speed reciprocating engines
- Excellent verbal, written communication, and interpersonal skills including telephone communication and active listening
- Fluency in Spanish is a plus
- Strong administrative and organizational skills
- Ability to respond to unplanned situations and circumstances
- Ability to read blueprints and shop manuals
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word applications
- Experience with SAP preferred
- Experience with Microsoft CRM preferred
