Job description
We are looking for a degreed Electrical engineer skilled in building inspection, and design and development who is interested in working for a firm in the building inspections/design and development business. We are offering competitive salary plus commission, 401k and profit sharing along with a flexible work schedule.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct engineering analysis and prepare calculations and designs.
- Perform forensic evaluations of residential, commercial, and industrial buildings to determine structural deficiencies.
- Prepare structural deficiency/evaluation reports that clearly identify all the problems at hand.
- Collaborate with our CAD department to prepare structural design details
- Ability to work under minimal supervision and be proactive about setting and meeting your work objectives and tasks.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering
- Possess and maintain an active Florida Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- Knowledge of structural design and construction of reinforced concrete, structural steel, masonry, aluminum, and wood structures.
- Knowledge of current building design codes and standards.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
