Job description

We are seeking experienced AP science educators to join our team in developing engaging video lectures for students preparing for the AP Exams in Biology, Chemistry, or Physics. As an independent contractor, you will collaborate with a dynamic team of educators to craft video content that complements comprehensive educational materials.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or higher in chemistry, biology, physics, or a related field
Experience teaching one or more of the following AP courses in a high school setting (preferred minimum of 2 years):
AP Biology
AP Chemistry
AP Physics
Experience creating educational videos or lectures (minimum of 1 year)
Background in science communication is advantageous
Required Skills:

Passion for education and fostering a love for learning
Clear and concise communication skills, both written and verbal, to explain complex scientific concepts
Strategic and analytical thinking to transform ideas into visually appealing content
Ability to meet project deadlines with a focus on quality
Proven ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team
Positive attitude towards giving and receiving constructive feedback
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite
Basic skills in creating screen recordings for preliminary video content
Responsibilities:

Collaborate with the Team Lead of Video Content to develop AP science video lectures
Craft cohesive scripts and create engaging slideshows for video presentations
Produce preliminary video recordings of lectures
Incorporate feedback to enhance the quality of video content
Provide constructive feedback on content created by fellow educators
Liaise with the video production team to ensure the delivery of a polished final product
Coordinate with management to meet project deadlines effectively
