Job Description

The Expeditor will be responsible for assisting all materials planning and purchasing activities for assigned products and/or Manufacturing work cells to support the requirements established by the Master Schedule. The selected candidate will assist with the expediting/purchasing of a wide variety of equipment and materials requiring some knowledge of electronic and/or mechanical product specifications and sources of supply under the direction of a more senior Buyer or Manager. They will also assist in expediting needed materials by working directly with the suppliers, and in the IPT’s to eliminate down time due to part shortages.

Additional Tasks will include:

• Assist A/P, and S/C with invoice issues, to recognize discounted payment terms via early payment opportunities, and avoid late payments/penalties.
• Assist in the processing of supplier returns, to include all aspects of the RMA process, to ensure timely returns of defective materials to suppliers, and affiliates.
• Assist Buyers/Subcontracts in PO preparation, maintenance, and supplier management.
• Analyze, and execute open order reports, and reschedule messages.
• Assist warehouse with receipt, inventory management, picking/kitting, and issue resolution for materials.

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Required (Unique and Measurable)

• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment handling multiple assignments.
• MS Office products proficiency (especially Excel, PP, Word)
• Articulate, adaptable, strong inter-personal skills, deadline/detail orientated
• Good phone and video conferencing communication skills
