Payroll Tax Compliance Specialist

As a result of our ongoing growth, we are adding a Payroll Tax Compliance Specialistto the team. The resource we are seeking will play a key role in supporting the successful growth and development of our clients as it relates to their needs for payroll tax compliance. The specialist will provide excellent service in a variety of projects and services including setting up Department of Labor and Department of Revenue tax identification numbers in various states and municipalities. The role will require a motivated, organized, highly detailed, process driven and proactive person who embraces the opportunity to help our clients be successful and compliant.

The ideal candidate will possess:

Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Payroll Tax Analyst

Experience in a variety of Payroll & HRIS systems preferred but not required.

Experience with payroll taxes and quarterly/ annual reconciliations, with the ability to troubleshoot issues resulting in root cause analysis.

Experience in thoroughly researching and resolving tax agency notices.

Knowledge setting up state income, state unemployment and local jurisdiction profiles for payroll usage.

Knowledge and understanding of payroll tax laws and regulations.

Preferred experience in various industries, but not required.

Ability to provide payroll tax compliance support, guidance, and best practices.

Ability to effectively build and maintain client relationships in a customer centric environment.

Ability to work collaboratively and independently to manage all client and vendor relationships.

Professional and effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Flexible work schedule to meet the demand of your assigned clients.

Highly organized individual with the ability to multi-task and prioritize projects to ensure completion within assigned deadlines.

Salary:

Base salary $36-$45 an hour.

Please keep in mind that this range represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual salary offer will take into account a wide range of factors, including skills and experience.
