Responsibilities
- Work hand-in-hand with engineering teams to integrate security best practices throughout the entire product development lifecycle.
- Help the company achieve and maintain certifications such as SOC2, HIPAA, HiTrust, FedRAMP, & CIS Level 5
- Build out the critical incident management, threat detection, trust center management processes for the company
- Conduct security architecture reviews for every product that the company puts into production
- Conduct security assessments and penetration testing to identify and mitigate vulnerabilities in our products.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest security threats and trends and ensure our defenses are constantly evolving.
- Develop and implement security automation tools and processes to streamline security tasks and increase efficiency.
- Collaborate with other security professionals to share knowledge, identify industry best practices, and build a culture of security within the company.Communicate effectively with product and engineering teams to ensure all stakeholders understand security considerations and their impact on product development.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in product security or a related field.
- Strong understanding of web application security concepts and best practices (OWASP, CWE, etc.).
- Experience with security testing tools and methodologies (e.g., Burp Suite, ZAP, static code analysis tools).
- Knowledge of common cloud security principles (e.g., AWS security services, IAM, encryption).
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Passion for learning and staying ahead of the curve in the ever-evolving security landscape.
Practicalities
- We have a few small offices, but our team is heavily distributed, and this is effectively a fully remote position
