Required Skills

A proven manager with supervisory experience who can manage, motivate, support, and earn the trust of our team.
Must be a self-motivated, organized, and detail-oriented person with strong communication skills, relationship building abilities and a passion for the wine industry.
Experience in the hospitality industry is required.
Must be willing to help with all tasks in the tasting room, from serving guests to helping with dishes when needed.

This is a Full-Time Hourly position + pooled tips + bonuses for Wine Club Membership signups

Pay: Starting at $22+ per hour depending upon relevant experience.

Tasting Room Manager responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Creating an environment where guests love to visit and staff love to come to work. Provide excellent, educational, and professional customer service that focuses on loyalty and return visits from Club members and neighborhood visitors.
Overseeing a team of tasting room staff: motivating team members, creating monthly schedules, assisting with ongoing training, and providing regular communication for team members.
Working collaboratively with our Chef for staff management, vendor relations, facility management, and above all, focusing on an exceptional wine and food experience.
Merchandising, presenting, and selling Bayernmoor Cellars wines and Club memberships.
Understanding and conveying the unique selling points of the brand and benefits of the Club.
Serving both wine and food to Bayernmoor guests, completing guest transactions, clearing service areas, and resetting for the next guest.
Operating the POS system for daily sales and reporting. Tracking tasting room metrics including visitor counts, sales and club conversion rates. Reviewing kitchen metrics that are maintained by the Chef and regularly reviewing the tasting room metrics and kitchen metrics with Kim and Larry to ensure the tasting room is moving in the right direction, growing appropriately, and proactively adjusting as needed.
Using Paylocity to schedule shifts and approve payroll.
Understanding shipping compliance for out of state wine purchases.
Utilizing the Tasting Room reservation system (OpenTable) to create timely and functional traffic flows, especially during peak days and hours.
Verifying that the onsite wine inventory, including entering all samples and sales, regularly counting, and reporting on cased goods in the tasting room is up to date.
Ensuring a clean tasting room and that all necessary supplies are fully stocked.
Serving as an onsite contact for facility needs and following all LCB and Health Department guidelines.
Participating in Woodinville Wine Country, Woodinville Chamber of Commerce, and neighborhood association groups to drive visitors to the Bayernmoor tasting room and further enhance the Bayernmoor name and reputation.
Organizing and executing private parties and after-hours events, as needed.
Working and communicating with other Bayernmoor employees and ownership to plan and provide events at Bayernmoor Estate, and wine club membership activities.
Typical schedule: Wednesdays – Fridays 12:30pm – 8pm, Saturdays 11:30am – 8pm, Sundays 11:30am – 7pm

All Bayernmoor Cellars employees who serve alcohol must be over 21 years of age, be able to stand for long periods of time, and be able to repeatedly lift 50 pounds during their shift. This position includes evenings and weekends. A Washington State Food Handler’s Permit and MAST Permit must be completed within 2 weeks of hire.
