Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Motor Design Lead to play a pivotal role in our mission to design and develop state-of-the-art electric motors. The Motor Design Lead will be responsible for leading the motor design team, driving innovation, and ensuring the development of efficient, high-performance, and reliable electric motors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a team of motor design engineers and technicians.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define motor design requirements and specifications.
- Oversee motor design projects from concept to production, ensuring that projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Develop motor design strategies that incorporate the latest technologies and manufacturing processes.
- Conduct motor design analysis, simulations, and testing to optimize performance, efficiency, and reliability.
- Solve complex motor design challenges and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in motor design.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in electric motor design, with a minimum of 2 years in a leadership role.
- Strong proficiency in motor design software, simulation tools, and analysis methods.
- Extensive knowledge of electromagnetic principles, thermal management, and mechanical design.
- Experience in manufacturing processes related to motor production.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- PhD in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience in the automotive industry.
- Knowledge of finite element analysis (FEA) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD).
- Familiarity with regulations and standards related to electric motors.
