JOB SUMMARY
Creates and executes Jabil’s regional Supply Chain strategy, driving Jabil’s operational, financial and business success through SCM strategy and operations and ensuring the effective management of Supply Chain resource.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The role and responsibilities of the Social & Environmental Responsibility Director includes:
- Supports Jabil supply chain efforts to build and maintain a responsible, sustainable, and ethical supply chain through:
- Driving Supply Chain compliance to all applicable Internal, External and Government/Regulatory requirements, laws, regulations, and standards.
- Establishing and maintaining an effective process to scan regional and global existing and emergent legislation, driving collaboration with key stakeholders (i.e. Supply Chain, Legal, Finance, Tax. Trade, etc..) to establish Jabil’s position and strategies for supply chain compliance.
- Work seamlessly with the Supply Chain, Operations, Compliance, and other key internal and external partners, to define our Responsible Supply Chain vision and strategy, and development, implementation, and improvement of due diligence requirements and processes.
- Developing and implementing supply chain focused reliability, sustainability, resiliency, and social compliance initiatives and targets.
- Ongoing assessments of the Jabil global supply chain for risk and leading / coordinating efforts to mitigate and reduce these risks to support responsible and sustainable sourcing.
- Works with purchasing and supply chain to identify key opportunities and suppliers for improvement efforts in compliance and reducing risk.
- Supporting the identification and delivery of technology solutions that support compliance processes and due diligence requirements.
- Authoring and implementation of Jabil policy(ies) regarding supply chain compliance, supply chain due diligence and risk mitigation
- Designing and delivering supply chain compliance and due diligence requirements training to internal stakeholders and suppliers.
- Leads the establishment and implementation of policies, procedures, practices, and protocols that align with and support Jabil's global social compliance and sustainability commitments and goals.
- Reports regularly to Jabil’s leadership and interested stakeholders progress, results, future efforts and strategies around supply chain compliance, reliability, resiliency, sustainability, etc…
- Stays informed on supply chain compliance best practices, new regulations, and opportunities for improvement. Utilizes information gained to update and continuously improve Jabil’s approach and processes.
- Is the contact point person for addressing questions related to supply chain compliance, Jabil’s position(s), approach, and processes for supply chain compliance, etc….
- Collaboration with Jabil’s supply chain teams on sourcing strategy that supports Jabil’s overall strategy for supply chain compliance.
The ideal candidate should have proven experience in:
- Supply chain compliance including social and environmental compliance. Experience in establishing and driving supply chain facing ESG programs is a plus.
- Exercising sound judgement, taking personal accountability for results while exhibiting professionalism in internal and external communications and engagements.
- Designing and delivering a supply chain compliance and due diligence framework that continuously improved supplier compliance and reduced risks.
- Internal, external and Government/Regulatory requirements, laws, regulations, and standards impacting supply chains. Leading the translating of these requirements into organizational strategies, positions, and due diligence requirements.
- Establishment of efficient and effective due diligence and mitigation processes for a large / complex supply chain. (i.e. direct materials, indirect materials, services, etc…)
- Proven skills in stakeholder communications, both internal and external. Proven experience in articulating and achieving customer and regulatory bodies acceptance on supply chain compliance approach and results.
- Supports completion of trade and social measurement platforms compliance requirements (i.e. RBA, Ecovadis, Sedex, etc…) platforms that require supply chain support.
Education and Experience:
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in supply chain or engineering Degree Preferred.
At least 10 plus years’ experience in establishment, maintenance, and continuous improvement of supply chain compliance and sustainability policies, procedures, processes, etc... based on industry standards such as the Responsible Business Alliance (RBA) Code of Conduct and other regulatory and legislative requirements.
- The Social & Environmental Responsibility Director leads the establishment, maintenance and continuous improvement of an enterprise wide supply chain social compliance and sustainability program that drives compliance to industry, legal, customer and other requirements across the Jabil Supply Chain. Designs and delivers best practices that effectively and efficiently identifies and mitigates risks within Jabil’s supply chain to social compliance.
Pay is $149,130 - $268,434. Job-related, non-discriminatory factors used to determine the actual offered rate include qualifications and experience, geographic location, education, external market data, and consideration of internal equity. The anticipated close date of this job requisition is: .
As part of the total rewards package, this position is eligible for a short-term incentive based on performance. In addition, Jabil offers benefits to enhance your health, wealth, and resilient self.
