Position: Accountant III
Location: Miami, OK, 74354
Duration: 3 Months (Possibility for extension at 3 months)
Job Type: Contract
Work Type: Onsite
Shift: Monday to Friday 08:00 AM to 05:00 PM
A day in the Life
Perform monthly closing activities including journal entries, accruals, reporting, and analysis.
Reconcile balance sheet accounts and recommend necessary adjustments
Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, Sarbanes-Oxley requirements, company policy, approval authority matrix, and standard operating procedure
Support internal and external audit requirements
Exercise sound data stewardship - following data policies (retention, privacy, security) and detailing procedures
Drive continuous improvement and use systems to increase controls and efficiencies
Ensure effective data security and controls within ERP, financial systems, and data flows
Other ad hoc requests as necessary
Keys to Success
Education & Experience
An undergraduate degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting (required)
Prior experience in a high-volume accounting environment (AR & AP emphasis a plus) within a matrixed organization.
Working knowledge of ERPs required, specific experience with Oracle R12 preferred\
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
Proficient in Microsoft Excel (required)
Excellent understanding of financial accounting standards and internal controls
Excellent attention to detail, as accuracy is required in performing all aspects of the role
Highly motivated individual with excellent communication, computer, and organization skills
Proficient verbal and written communication skills
