Job Description and Duties

The Secretary of State (SOS), Fiscal Affairs Division is seeking a permanent, full-time Accountant Trainee to perform a variety of Accounts Receivable functions for a fast-paced organization.  The position is located in downtown Sacramento, near Light Rail, Downtown Commons and other amenities in the rich architectural styled SOS building.

Under close supervision of the Accounting Administrator I (Supervisor), the incumbent is responsible for check scanning, remote site deposits, processing online filing payment settlements, auditing and reviewing deposits, cash reports, assisting at the front counter and entering data utilizing the Financial Information System for California (FI$Cal).

Desirable Qualifications:
