Ready to be an important part of our Specialize Field Services Team?
The Senior Manager – SFS, oversees the day-to-day operations of the Support Services Center (SSC) and the customer wind farm projects assigned to Deutsche Windtechnik. These projects involve both internal and external transactional activities, such as scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, main component inspections, as well as maintenance and repair tasks.
Are You Looking to:
Lead the SSC team, overseeing current business operations and contributing to the identification of growth opportunities.
Take ownership of the SSC P&L, ensuring the team achieves financial objectives and targets.
Foster employee performance by providing recognition, feedback, conducting performance reviews, and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
Coach and mentor employees to enhance performance and unlock their full potential.
Develop plans to meet customer commitments and ensure timely completion of service work.
Collaborate with the Business Development team to drive growth and optimize project resource utilization.
Implement process optimization initiatives to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Act as the primary contact for customers regarding SSC-related issues, ensuring exceptional service and satisfaction.
Provide general support to Operations, Quality, and Engineering departments as needed.
Stay updated on professional and technical knowledge by attending relevant workshops in the wind industry.
Are You Ready to:
Ensure timely and accurate invoicing of customers.
Ensure compliance with DWT programs and policies related to Safety, Quality, and documentation practices.
Ensure SSC teams deliver world-class preventative and corrective maintenance on multi-brand wind turbines according to DWT procedures.
Coordinate with project leads, site supervisors, field technicians, and site engineers to generate daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
Supervise and oversee all subcontractors and partner contractors to ensure project success.
Manage resources, warehouse locations, and assigned projects efficiently.
Review and approve expense forms and timesheets for direct reports.
Ensure accurate completion of all relevant work documentation, including Service Orders, through the L-Mobile system.
Manage additional projects or programs as required.
What You’ll Need:
High School Diploma or GED. Bachelor’s Degree is a bonus, but not required.
3+ years’ experience in the wind industry with a minimum of 2 years of managerial experience.
Valid driving license (NON CDL / CDL)
Advanced MS Office skills required
Ability to read and interpret documents, and follow instructions, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures manuals.
Ability to work with minimal supervision, given proper instructions.
Ability to deal with problems involving at least one concrete variable in standardized situations.
Must be able to pass a physical exam and drug/alcohol screening.
The employee must be capable of lifting and/or moving up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus because of potential work in close confines.
Employee must be physically fit enough to free climb 300 ft multiple times a day while wearing 25+ lbs. of climbing gear and work in extreme weather conditions.
Must be capable of rescuing team mate anywhere in tower in the event of emergency.
We care about the safety and wellbeing of every one of our employees. To help ensure their safety, any employees climbing a wind turbine must use a Personal Fall Arrest System, and may not exceed the system’s maximum weight capacity of 309 lbs. This weight must include the individual, their tooling, uniform, and personal protective equipment. Based on these safety requirements and the standard weight of equipment, employees who climb wind turbines may not exceed a maximum personal body weight of 260 lbs.
