Job description
AdventHealth Rocky Mountain Region is seeking an Epileptology Program Medical Director to join its Neurology Team in Denver, CO! The AdventHealth Epilepsy program comprises a comprehensive multidisciplinary team of providers including epileptologists, neuropsychologists, neuroradiologists and a functionally trained neurosurgeon as well as an epilepsy coordinator and navigator. Our epilepsy providers work in a hybrid model of hospitalist and ambulatory services, spending their time both on the epilepsy monitoring unit (EMU) and with patients in the clinic.
We are seeking a physician who will model and lead excellence in clinical practice, doctor-patient relationships, and professionalism while maintaining AdventHealth’s Mission, Vision, Values.
About our Program:
Our epilepsy monitoring unit is 4-bed NAEC accredited, Level 3 unit which is poised to be Level 4.
Our vision is to continue to improve access for people with epilepsy and pair them with a compassionate team of providers. The program is lead by a Co-Medical Director.
We are located centrally in Denver and are part of the AdventHealth System, one of the nation’s largest hospital systems.
Qualifications:
Epilepsy fellowship trained
Board certified/board eligible
2-5 years of experience
Experience in the management of surgical epilepsy
EEG skill set desired
Prior experience with the administrative management of an epilepsy program preferred ( this is 0.2 FTE admin and 0.8 FTE clinical role)
Can work collaboratively with an existing multidisciplinary team to optimize care for patients and support a growing program
Desires a collaborative work environment
