Job description

WVEI-FM/Providence, part of the WEEI Sports Radio Network, is seeking a part-time weekend talk host. If you know sports, have an engaging personality, are a great storyteller, and understand how to drive the audience on terrestrial radio and through digital streams, we have the perfect job for you.

What You'll Do:

• Create original content and performing live broadcasts that are entertaining and informative.
• Participate and create original content for all social media platforms; managing online personality presence
• Interact/engage with listeners on social media
• Protect the station’s FCC license
• Monitor the music and commercial logs for the airshift
• Ensure that promotions and contests are executed properly
• Operate the control board and perform production work
• Prepare and research for broadcast
• Other duties as required by management

Required & Preferred:

• Must be an excellent communicator with strong creative skills, a team-first mentality and a strong social brand/following
• Knowledge of the format and audience required
• Excellent on-air voice with demonstrated track record required
