Responsibilities
The Principal will oversee and direct the operations of the Educational Services including budget and fiscal management, program operations, compliance, and strategic planning. This position collaborates with other members of Leadership to attain a level of clinical excellence as indicated in the Willow Springs Center mission. Under the direction of UHS Leadership, the Principal will plan, organize, control and direct educational operations, activities and services including curriculum, and instructional programs, processes and procedures; coordinate and direct Nevada Department of Education program requirements, discipline functions, welfare and guidance services, testing and evaluation, fiscal functions, communications, personnel, articulation and information to enhance student learning and achievement; supervise and evaluate the performance of assigned personnel.

QualificationsEducation: Master's Degree from an institution accredited by a regional accrediting association that is approved by the United States Department of Education. Doctoral/ PH.D. degree preferred.
Completion of Praxis I required. Completion of Praxis II preferred.
Experience: Experience teaching emotionally handicapped and learning disabled adolescents is preferred. Three (3-5) years of verified full time or supervised experience in teaching the appropriate grade level.
Licensure: Valid Nevada State 7-12 Teaching License. State of Nevada Administrator license required. Teachers are required to be eligible for "highly qualified" status. Substitute teaching licenses do not qualify for this position. Must be a "generalist" license.
Certifications: CPR/First Aid and Handle with Care.
