Job description
SUMMARY DESCRIPTION:
Responsible for overall administration and operation of all accounting and finance functions across all of the JEP entities, including DentalEZ Inc, Schiller Grounds Care, Germantown Tool, United Ammunition Container, and JEP Tech and Support. As part of a shared services entity, this role is responsible for all aspects of analytics, budgeting, financial control, and performance reporting.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Key member of the management team in developing and implementing transformational business plans across all JEP entities. Act as a thought leader by providing analytical insight and perspective to the CEO and Executive teams. Oversee development of capital and operating budgets, to ensure optimal utilization of financial resources. Lead the development of future financial strategies; establish annual financial goals; monitor and analyze performance against these objectives.
- Partner with CEO and Executive teams to monitor and manage operating units through participation in operating reviews, budget and forecast reviews, and other operational finance duties as required. Mentor and supervise senior business management leaders and provide leadership to the finance and accounting team. Work with operating business unit heads and their teams to drive growth and value creation. Develop financial tools to support operations including pricing, business model assessment and change and competitive analysis.
- Own the GL and recording of all business transactions, including detailed analysis and reconciliation of all general ledger accounts, while ensuring compliance with local accounting requirements and internal policies. Monitor and ensure compliance with GAAP standards and/or regulatory rules, including implementation of any changes.
- Support business development, including M&A due diligence and integration programs as needed.
- Tracks foreign currency requirements and domestic treasury needs. Manages and oversees all tax payments.
- Responsible for annual external audit preparation and oversight.
- Oversees inventory management, ensuring cost structures are as efficient as possible.
- Prepares quarterly package for Advisory Board Committee Meetings. Coordinates the Company's Annual Review with JEP Management and external accounting firm.
- Reviews marketing and sales programs and pricing to determine financial impact, and safeguard profit margin.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION
- Bachelor's Degree
- 15+ years of progressively responsible decision-making experience.
- CPA highly preferred
- B.A. desirable
SKILLS:
- Ability to provide leadership at all levels of the corporation and make key organizational decisions.
- Ability to work well as part of a top management team to facilitate growth and expansion while strengthening the organization as a whole.
- Ability to meet corporate deadlines and maintain strict schedules to accomplish organization goals.
- Extensive knowledge of business accounting procedures.
- Strong analytical skills that incorporate and consider all business factors
- Ability to coordinate major corporate financial responsibilities.
- Willingness to travel, as required, to meet organization's needs.
- Ability to communication effectively with JEP Management
- Extensive computer skills and ERP (Oracle) experience.
