Job description
The Apple Services design team is looking for a Design Manager with experience leading teams focused on brand and visual design. The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating elegant products that improve our customer experience while always keeping the customer informed and in control.
The position requires skilled creative leadership to deliver projects under tight deadlines and with input from many senior-level stakeholders. People-first leadership skills are a must, as well as coolness under pressure, problem solving, attention to detail, and the ability to mediate and cope with rapid change. Above all, the role requires a dedicated individual who understands Apple’s high standards and design aesthetic to the core.
Key Qualifications
- Experience leading designers in all aspects of brand and visual design, including creation, management, reporting, marketing and advertising.
- A portfolio of work that showcases excellence in design leadership, creative problem solving, and the ability to bring out the best work in teams.
- A commitment to upholding the principles of transparency, privacy, and trust while supporting business goals.
- Outstanding ability to develop and communicate strategy and vision to designers, engineers, product managers, and executive leadership through writing, visuals, and presentations.
- Able to work independently and in a team environment.
- 7+ years of design experience with at least 4 years in a leadership role.
- Experience designing across contexts including mobile, web, print, video, etc.
- Ability to clearly communicate concepts and designs through sketches and high fidelity comps, using Sketch, Photoshop, Keynote, and similar tools. 3D technical expertise a plus.
- Familiarity with inclusive design and accessibility, and a desire to learn more.
- Flexible and comfortable with ambiguity and change during a project.
- A passion for Apple, our products, and our customers is a must.

Bachelors or Masters in a Design-related field, or equivalent experience.

- At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $183,400.00 and $316,900.00, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
