Job description
In this role, you will play a pivotal part in supporting the Principal/Project Architect by taking charge of and leading design and production teams throughout the project's entire lifecycle. Your responsibilities encompass a wide range of activities, including organizing project activities, ensuring adherence to codes and approvals, preparing design documents, managing contracts and budgets, overseeing staff, coordinating with consultants, reviewing documents, supervising reprographics, obtaining necessary approvals, and maintaining regular communication with clients. Moreover, you will be responsible for ensuring the project's profitability, monitoring team progress, and upholding office standards.
This role requires competencies in architectural practice, strong leadership skills, and proficiency in software tools such as AutoCAD, with knowledge of REVIT considered a plus, along with proficiency in InDesign, Photoshop, Microsoft Office, Outlook, Bluebeam, and familiarity with Sketchup also regarded as advantageous.
Qualifications
1. Bachelor's Degree in Architecture: A fundamental requirement, a bachelor's degree in architecture provides the foundational knowledge and education necessary for this profession.
2. Experience with Type III / V Construction: Proficiency in Type III/V construction methods is crucial, as it demonstrates expertise in construction types commonly used in architectural projects.
3. Experience at an Architecture Firm: Significant experience, ranging from 4 to 7 years, at an architecture firm is a key qualification, as it showcases a candidate's practical knowledge and ability to contribute effectively to architectural projects. A licensed Architect is preferred, underscoring the value of professional certification in this role.
Shift Schedule
Typical week: 40-45 hrs
4 days a week in-office and 1 day work from home (flexible with schedule times)
