South & Western seeks an Underwriter to join our Farm & Ranch team in Addison, TX.
This position assists the Underwriter by reviewing insurance applications, inspections, and other pertinent information to evaluate, classify, and rate submissions for insurance by performing the following duties.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
College degree, Professional designations a plus.
Minimum of 5 years Personal Lines underwriting experience in Company, MGA or Agency environment.
Self-directed, efficient and detail oriented with the ability to multi-task.
Strong organizational and analytical skills.
Strong written & verbal communication skills
Aptitude for critical thinking and problem resolution.
High level of computer proficiency with experience on insurance company systems.
Friendly, upbeat personality with strong written and oral communication skills.
Inherent desire to embrace change and pursue continuous improvement.
Team player with collaborative attitude.
Prior retail agency experience a plus
P&C license required.
