Department: Accounting Services

Campus: Rose Hill (RH) - Bronx

Position Summary:

The Grants Accountant will support the Accounting Services Department, which is responsible for post-award grant administration and accounting functions. Under the direction of the Manager of Grants Accounting and Compliance, this position provides specialized professional administrative (finance, compliance and technical) guidance, oversight and assistance to faculty and staff to facilitate University research and sponsored program activity, in accordance with federal and state laws, sponsor guidelines and University policy and procedure.

Other administrative responsibilities include, but are not limited to, award setup and modifications based on the terms and conditions of grant agreements, collaboratively with Principal Investigators and funding agencies to manage the award fiscally and administratively throughout the project period, prepare and file financial reports and submission of period billings according to award requirements, monitoring of regulatory mandates and advisement to Principal Investigators regarding changes in agency and federal regulations and University polices on grant administration, and perform other administrative duties as required and requested.
