Description:

The Motor Winder or Motor Repair Technician will work in the shop repairing industrial sized motors in order of urgency. Primary task will include identifying winding materials and data, preparing materials for the job, inspecting and performing electrical testing, winding the motor, making repairs, and documenting accordingly.

Will operate specialized repair and testing equipment, including but not limited to: winding machines, test panels, surge testers, core loss testers, cut off saws, burnout ovens, bake ovens, grinders, cranes, brazing units, dip tanks, VPI systems, and various hand power and non-power tools.

What is a Motor Winder? Refers to the winding of the electrical conductor in the motor between the housing and the rotor. The conductor consists of a wire with high electrical conductivity and can be used in various thicknesses

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

The right candidate will have industrial electrical knowledge of some kind or prior heavy duty motor experience that involved electricity.

Prior Experience as an Industrial Maintenance Electrician, Diesel Mechanic (w/Electrical), Millwright, or Electrician are prior experience that will qualify.

Fast pace and a lot of trouble shooting

MUST have own tools (tool list below)

MUST have High School Diploma

Must be comfortable with a lot of overtime and being on call
