Academic Clinician in Pain Medicine and Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation

Position Overview:
The salary range for this position is $375,000-$475,000. This position includes membership in the Health Sciences Compensation Plan


The Department of Anesthesiology & Pain Medicine and the Department of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation at the University of California, Davis, is recruiting for 1 joint appointment at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level in the Clinical X or Health Sciences Clinical Professor Series

As a member of the Division of Pain Medicine, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing pain medicine services within the University of California Davis Medical Center, while working in a multidisciplinary team that includes pain medicine physicians, nurses, psychologists, and acupuncturists. Responsibilities include patient care, inpatient service, advanced practitioner oversight, ability to perform ultrasound-guided and fluoroscopically-guided procedures, skilled ability to independently set up and adjust an ultrasound and fluoroscope to optimize identification of target sites of injection and direct others to do so for all ultrasound-guided and luoroscopically-guided procedures, adept at maintaining safety measures for both procedural and clinical practice, assessing and treating patients of all ages who have acute, chronic, or cancer pain. Additional responsibilities include clinical education of medical students, residents, fellows, and APP students and participation in the pain medicine call schedule, including after hours, weekend and holiday call. Position includes travel to any of our UC Davis community clinics or UC Davis affiliated healthcare partner organizations.
