Description:
At Saint Francis Hospital the Nursing Assistant is responsible for assisting physicians while providing exceptional treatment to patients with a variety of medical conditions.
What you will do
Collect and report patient information and data
Help patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, diet, fluid intake, skin care, bathing and dressing, positioning, transfers, mobility and ambulation
Patient Transport
Collection of specimens
Distribution of linens and supplies to patient rooms
Deliver ice and beverages to patients
As assigned, stays with at-risk patients to monitor patient safety
Minimum Qualifications
Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Graduate of a Connecticut approved Nurse Aide Training Program preferred or in process of earning a BA in Nursing OR Health Sciences with at least one clinical completed OR significant previous healthcare related experience
Proof with college transcript required OR have significant nurse assistant/healthcare related experience is required
Certification: BLS certification required
Previous experience as a Nursing Assistant in an acute care setting preferred
Ability to pass drug screening and background check
