Job description

Duties:
- Assist in preparing the operating room for surgery, including setting up surgical instruments, equipment, and sterile supplies.
- Decontaminating, cleaning, and sterilizing surgical instruments, supplies, medical devices, and equipment.
- Maintain records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Assist with patient positioning as necessary.
- Maintain a clean and organized environment.
- Adhere to infection control policies and procedures to ensure patient safety.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of an accredited Central Sterile Technician program or equivalent experience. (Preferred)
- Knowledge of medical terminology and surgical procedures.
- Familiarity with aseptic technique and infection control practices.
- Ability to operate computer systems for data entry and record keeping.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work well as part of a team and follow instructions from surgeons and other healthcare professionals.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
