Job description

Holy Family Classical School seeking a High School Theology Teacher for the 2024-2025 school year. This ministerial, teaching position will report to the Head of the School. This position is a part-time position which may become a full-time position with the addition of middle school theology courses or in combination with other high school positions for a qualified teacher. This teacher will have the opportunity to participate in the ongoing development of the high school's classical theology curriculum. The 2024-2025 school year will be the third year of Holy Family Classical School's High School program, with students in grades 9-11. One 9th grade theology course, focusing on Sacred Scripture, and one 11th grade theology course, focusing on the movement from the height of Christendom to the challenges of the modern era, will be offered in 2024-2025. Future courses will include 10th grade theology, focusing on early church history and the rise of Christendom along with 12th grade theology, focusing on the period from the First Vatican Council to the present, including the challenges of evangelization in a new apostolic age. Founded by St. Katharine Drexel under the patronage of the Holy Family more than a century ago, Holy Family Cathedral School partners with parents to deliver an exceptional education that is both Catholic and classical. Emphasizing the integral unity of truth, goodness, and beauty, our curriculum cultivates a deep understanding of the interconnectedness of the seven liberal arts.
