The Elm is a restaurant located in La Grange, IL that serves exceptional American fare made from the freshest ingredients. We offer private event spaces and our private events coordinators work closely with customers to think through every detail. Our goal is to make every visit, from private events to casual meals, simply unforgettable.

Role Description

This is a part-time on-site role for a Maitre D'. The Maitre D' will be responsible for managing all aspects of the restaurant dining experience, including seating guests, coordinating reservations, managing waitlists, and ensuring smooth service. The Maitre D' will also be responsible for communicating with the kitchen and servers to ensure customer satisfaction but not limited to these responsibilities. This position is an opportunity to grow into a managerial role.

Qualifications

• Customer service and communication skills
• Experience in food and beverage service, including knowledge of wine
• Experience in food service, including table setting and service
• Ability to multitask and manage complex situation
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Ability to work well in a team
• Prior experience as a Maitre D' or in a similar role preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent
