The TELI (Tribal Early Learning Initiative) Coordinator plans services, including advisement for the TELI Collaborative

Job Description:

Under the general direction of the Child Care Coordinator, the TELI (Tribal Early Learning Initiative) Coordinator plans, coordinates, implements, and evaluates the intake platform, collaborative events and services, including advisement for the TELI Collaborative. Plans and implements collaborative event schedules, TELI monthly meetings, follow-up on agenda items determined by Collaborative. Researches and recommends for purchase platform/portal for TELI intake. Track children and families who participate in programs and events by the TELI Collaborative – such as Fall Festival, Baby/Toddler & Me classes and others. As assigned and available participate in setup and implementation of related TELI Collaborative programs. Establish and maintain relationships with appropriate departments, outside resources providers, and families.  

Duites:

Establishes system or framework, with advisement from TELI partners, for coordinating a seamless early childhood system.

Communicates with all TELI partners to ensure ongoing collaboration.

Researches and recommends for purchase an intake platform/portal for all TELI partners to access.

Transition TELI partners to universal intake process.

Monitors platform use and users to ensure system is implemented with fidelity and eases families’ intake processes.

Assists with planning and facilitating all TELI Collaborative monthly meetings.

Proposes, plans and implements common events, such as the Fallt Festival.

Proposes, plans and implements support services for families with children age 0-5 years old – connecting them to the different programs and resources available on and off the Pueblo.

Proposes, plans and supports programs to facilitate collaborative enrichment programming, activities and events to include activities that produce academic enrichment, wellbeing development and culturally specific activities for children and family engagement.

Establishes tracking system to monitor families participating in various support services and connecting them to other programs by need and age requirements.

Prepares reports for TELI Partners regarding participation rate of families participating in events.

As appropriate, connects families to resources – as they exit TELI “age” and throughout the 0-5 years.

Communicates with Early Childhood partners regarding activity calendar and establishes a unified Early Childhood calendar.

Shares Early Childhood resources/ training opportunities across Early Childhood programs

As assigned, assist with grant application development that supports TELI services efforts and initiatives

Qualifications:

Education:

High School diploma/Associates degree preferred.

Experience/Basic Knowledge:

3-5 years’ relevant with Early Childhood, family advising, administrative, and event planning experience.

Leadership experience with program, personnel, and families’ development.

Grant writing and grant administration experience.

Required Licenses/Certifications:

Valid driver’s license preferred.

Physical Requirements:

Must have manual dexterity to enter and retrieve data from a computer.

Ability to sit and stand for long periods.

Bends and stoops regularly.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Maintain confidentiality with discretion.

Excellent public speaking, written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Ability to conduct program evaluation.

Ability to make recommendations with alternatives.

Ability to handle multiple tasks with frequent interruptions.

Ability to meet deadlines and show attention to detail.

Ability to work with a diverse population that represents different ages and educational levels.

Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Ability to learn.

Ability to demonstrate initiative and responsiveness.

Flexibility, punctuality, and availability is a must.

Ability to speak Keres preferred.
