Job description
Position is for 11 weeks LOCAL PHOENIX CANDIDATES ONLY-position is 100% on-site
POSITION SUMMARY: The candidate will be primarily responsible for audit, reconcile, and enhancement of the Information Technology hardware inventory and related system. The successful candidate will be a self-starter and adapt to changing environments. The ideal candidate will have previous experience auditing and reconciling inventories in hardware management software and Microsoft Excel. RESPONSIBILITIES: • Audit hardware inventories for accuracy. • Analyze and reconcile discovery data against current inventory data. • Upload hardware inventories into asset management software. • Create and execute action plans to research and resolve identified gaps. • Create system-generated reports to notify management of changes in hardware inventory. • Forecast, track, and notify interested IS organizations of critical lifecycle and contractual milestones and activities (expirations, renewals, etc.). • Provide data, knowledge, and preparation in support of the milestones as appropriate. • Participate in defining requirements, processes, and procedures for IT asset management strategies for the agency. • Receive IT equipment from vendors. Log received equipment, verify contents, check asset tag, and update inventory tracking systems. • Dispose of IT equipment (wipe hard drives, log obsolete equipment, inform relevant stakeholders, and remove from inventory tracking systems). • Move and update hardware based on agency needs.
Strong knowledge of Asset Management policies, procedures, and concepts.
• In depth understanding of hardware/software licensing/maintenance models.
• Strong analytical, assessment and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication, organizational, planning and time management skills, with ability to prioritize and multi-task assignments.
• Required Software and Tools: Microsoft Office.
• Ability to focus on deadlines and deliverables to meet commitments.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Ability to work as part of a self-directed team, in which tasks are determined daily in coordination with co-workers, rather than being assigned.
• Ability to excel in a collaborative and distributed team environment.
• Ability to work with a minimal amount of direction while being proactive in keeping management informed of project related issues.

• Ability to effectively communicate with various levels of employees ranging from entry level to senior leadership.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• 3 or more years of asset management, procurement, workstation support, or other job-related work experience
• Bachelors in a job-related field • Degree Equivalency: 4 years job related work experience or Associates and 2 years job related work experience
