The Lead Clinical Preceptor is responsible for delivery of education and training to nursing staff focused on the care of individuals, and families in an ambulatory care setting. Under the direction of nursing leadership the Lead Clinical Preceptor assists with patients’ wellness, acute illness, chronic disease, disability and end of life needs while maintaining the practice standards through education and training. The Lead Clinical Preceptor is expected to demonstrate leadership skills; assessing individual’s competence to ensure patients receives high quality care. The Lead Clinical Preceptor collaborates with nursing leadership to attest that activities related to orientation and continuing education of nursing staff is provided. The Lead Clinical Preceptor acts as a coach and mentor to nursing staff. The Lead Clinical Preceptor upholds patient safety standards. He/she participates in Practice Health and Safety assessments as an assessor (RN only) and/or a participant in the remediation process.

New York Residents Only: The hourly range for New York residents is $27.07 to $53.08 per hour.
