Position Overview

In this role, you’ll inspect, repair, service and maintain gasoline, diesel powered and electronically operated mobile equipment. Perform skilled mechanical diagnosis, maintenance and repair work on vehicles and heavy equipment. . Each day provides you with a different adventure as you work with our customers to provide them with top tier service. We work hard, and we have fun doing it!

Wage Scale for Position: $36.72/hr DOE w/ potential for overtime.
This position is governed by a collective bargaining agreement
Shift Schedule: Swing Shift, 2:00PM-10:30PM

Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)
Analyzes malfunctions and repairs, rebuilds, and maintains equipment.
Operates and inspects machines or equipment to diagnose defects.
Dismantles and reassembles equipment, using hoists and hand tools.
Examines parts for damage or excessive wear, using micrometers and gauges.
Replaces defective engines and subassemblies, such as transmissions.
Tests overhauled equipment to ensure operating efficiency (must be able to operate all equipment).
Welds broken parts and structural members.
May direct workers engaged in cleaning parts and assisting with assembly and disassembly of equipment.
Should have skills in basic fabrication
Perform record keeping of time and parts used on the appropriate forms.
Perform general cleaning of work areas and maintenance areas.
Assist other maintenance department staff in performing the duties necessary to assure the efficiency of operations of vehicles
Take action to avoid potential hazards or obstructions.
Other tasks and duties as assigned to meet business needs.
Regular and timely attendance.
Participate in and promote an inclusive work environment.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Minimum Qualifications
Safety minded professional who demonstrates good performance, attendance and punctuality.
Must pass pre-employment physical exam and pre-employment controlled substance testing.
Safety sensitive: “Per RCW 49.44.240 this position has been identified by the employer as safety sensitive and will be subject to an employer-required pre-employment drug screening that includes testing for nonpsychoactive cannabis metabolites.”
Demonstrates the ability to work overtime and weekends/holidays as needed.
Demonstrates the ability to conform to and maintain OSHA, MSHA, DOT and all other company or state rules and regulations.
Demonstrates ability to work and communicate well with Supervisors, Truck Drivers, Heavy Equipment Operators and other employees.
Demonstrates the ability to follow written and/or verbal instructions.
Demonstrates the willingness to learn and work a variety of job tasks.
Demonstrates excellent customer service skills
Must have a valid driver’s license, CDL Class A or B preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
Previous fleet equipment experience preferred.
