Position Details:
- Employment Status: Full-Time
- Compensation: Paid hourly, bi-weekly
- Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM
- Benefits: Comprehensive insurance package with health, dental, vision, and life coverage, accrued PTO, paid holidays, and a 401(k) plan
Requirements:
- Degree: Certificate
- Education: Graduate from an accredited nursing program approved by the appropriate State agency and accredited by the Commission on Nursing Education Accreditation (CNEA)
- Experience: Minimum of one year of practical/vocational nursing experience required, with gastroenterology experience within the previous 24 months
- Licensure: Current, full, active, and unrestricted license as a practical or vocational nurse
- Additional Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) healthcare provider course or equivalent based on national guideline.
Job Summary:
- Assist with various endoscopic procedures
- Prepare and clean endoscopic equipment
- Educate patients on endoscopic procedures
- Provide care to variable patient populations
- Administer medications and perform treatments according to established procedures
- Recognize and respond to urgent patient care situations
- Support complex diagnostic tests and specialized procedures
- Orient peers and ancillary personnel to unit policies and procedures
