The Role
The Forensic Services Chapter is accountable for providing financial and investigative analysis of individual customer circumstances for the purposes of assessing life insurance products. The Chapter utilises investigative and analytical skills to fully understand our customer’s individual circumstances.
This role will lead the development of the Forensic Services Chapter, defining the craft and identifying the right skillsets needed to develop and grow the expertise of chapter members. You will work closely with Crew Leads and at times squads across the business to drive outcomes, deploy resources and reliably deliver products.
Some of the things you will be accountable for include:
Effective financial and risk management skills, understanding how to appropriately balance supply and demand tensions in the allocation of resources
Ability to role model, and teach others to develop ambitious sprint plans, breaking down complex work while managing delivery and delivered risk
Collaborate with multiple crafts that contribute to our ecosystem to build a consistent delivery capability to drive customer satisfaction, business results and sustainable processes
Ability to interpret and analyse financial data to determine issues, trends, and emerging risks
Ability to interpret complex accounting, tax and financial issues including corporate structures
Ability to communicate technical financial information clearly, concisely, and effectively to non-technical audiences
Adopts a mid to longer term focus when developing operational, financial, commercial or risk management strategic outcomes
Craft development – facilitates capability development through coaching and mentorship
Builds talent and creates stretch opportunities for team chapter members
Builds data and digital capability in themselves and others
Resource allocation, planning and talent management
Builds and maintains frameworks, policies, systems and vendor relationships within the chapter eco-system
What you bring:
Demonstrated ability to interpret and analyse financial statements and tax returns
Demonstrated application of Australian accounting and taxation methodology
Previous experience in audit, business services, forensic accounting, insolvency, or taxation
Understanding of the Risk Insurance market and associated products will be advantageous
Experience dealing with escalated matters through internal and external dispute resolution i.e., AFCA
Proven project management experience and expertise
