Job description
Job Overview
The Field HSE Technician provides support to Region HSE Managers in supporting the execution of HSE initiatives and programs. Delivers onsite HSE training and completes field safety audits and inspections on a regular basis.
Additional responsibilities include coordinating with project supervision to recommend and solutions to identified issues and ensuring the business is compliant with HSE policies and procedures and regulatory standards.
Detailed Job Description:
1. Conducts Field HSE audits and inspections using standard forms.
2. Assists with Incident investigations and reporting.
3. Attends site meetings and training and participates in Regional HSE calls.
4. Verify corrective actions are implemented and effective.
5. Role requires domestic travel up to 75% of time and must be able to meet HMT and Customer training and site admittance requirements.
Minimum Job Requirements
1. High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) with a minimum of 3 years HSE experience. Associate degree or bachelor's degree is preferred.
2. Demonstrated analytical and critical thinking skills for problem solving and data analysis.
3. Good interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively work with people at all levels of the organization.
4. Excellent organization and communication skills, both verbal and written.
5. Working proficiency using standard Microsoft Office 365 applications (i.e., Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams, Word) and web-based applications.
Physical Demands
1. Work will require a mixture of sitting, standing, and walking (sometimes for extended periods) in a mixture of outdoor, office, and manufacturing environments.
2. Work may include some physical activities such as manual handing or lifting of files, equipment, or tools weighing up to 22.6 kg (50 lbs).
Working Environment
Internal: Office work environments are climate controlled with minimal exposure to hazards. Manufacturing work environments are not climate controlled and may include exposure to hot or cold temperatures, noise levels above 85 dB, and/or hazards commensurate for a manufacturing environment. Entry into HMT manufacturing areas may require safety training and the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
External: Work will require travel to HMT locations and job sites, which may require additional site-specific safety training, background verification and credentials (e.g., TWIC), drug and alcohol testing, and/or PPE for entry.
