Position Description
The Harvard John A. Paulson School of Engineering and Applied Sciences (SEAS) seeks applications for a part-time Professor of the Practice (PoP) in Innovation, with the possibility of a full-time position with half-time teaching duties (as a Professor of the Practice in Innovation) and half-time administrative or research duties, dependent on the candidate's qualifications. Endowed through a generous gift from Jorge Paulo Lemann ('61), the Professor of the Practice in Innovation is a five-year renewable appointment with an expected start date of July 1, 2024. The ideal candidate will have extensive practical experience in innovation and entrepreneurship as related to science and technology and will be able to demonstrate a strong commitment to and record of teaching at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. The PoP in Innovation will be expected to leverage and expand on current activities in innovation and entrepreneurship at SEAS and in collaboration with other schools such as the Harvard Business School and the Harvard Graduate School of Design. Candidates should have a strong track record in the practice of innovation and entrepreneurship and should be able to demonstrate a strong interest and commitment to teaching at both the undergraduate and graduate level.Basic Qualifications
