Overview
M Health Fairview Ridges Hospital located in Burnsville, MN, is looking for a dynamic Nurse Manager to lead our Float Pool team! Are you ready to join this team? Are you ready to make a difference in people's lives?
The Nurse Manager leads nursing practice and patient care operations in collaboration with and accountable to the Nursing Director, this includes: nursing practice, quality and safety, regulatory compliance, finance and other operational accountabilities.
This position supports our Administrative Nursing Supervisors (ANS), the Flying Squad and Float Pool teams. Our knowledgeable staff provide excellent patient and family centered care, proven through top rated patient satisfaction scores. In conjunction with the Patient Care Supervisor, the Nurse Manager leads a team of RNs, NAs, NSTs and ANSs who float throughout the entire hospital.

Responsibilities Job Description
Job Expectations:
Leads day-to-day operations of assigned area(s) to ensure support of the mission, vision, values and goals of the organization.
Plans, handles, coordinates and evaluates patient care activities including staffing, resource management, quality and safety, regulatory compliance, and financial management.
Handles equipment inventory and supply management within operational budget.
Accountable for capacity management to promote patient flow.
Develops, implements, monitors and evaluates the quality improvement initiatives.
In addition, the Float Pool NM:
Is responsible for human resources management to achieve quality service and positive employee relations.
Ensures compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
Advocates for patient, family and staff needs.
Drives improvement activities that promote patient centered care and positive customer experience.
In partnership the Nursing Practice and Education team assure that evidence based/best practice clinical care is being delivered.
Ensures staff compliance in areas of job requirements, education and clinical competency.
Works with Nurse Director to establish goals and objectives.
Promotes a culture of high employee engagement, professional development, nursing education and research.
Partners with interprofessional team members across the continuum of care to achieve organizational outcomes.
Qualifications
Required
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing. If Bachelor’s degree is not in nursing then a Master’s degree is nursing is required.
Experience
Four Years nursing experience, at least two of which is in a formal or informal (charge, lead, preceptor) leadership role.
License/Certification/Registration
Licensed Registered Nurse. Ability to obtain Minnesota nursing license at time of hire.
BLS certification
Preferred
Education
Master’s Degree in Nursing
License/Certification/Registration
ANCC or AONL Certification
