**About the Role: Client Accounting Services Manager**

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer (COO), the Client Accounting Services Manager plays a pivotal role in leading our Client Accounting Services division. This division encompasses Endowment Accounting, Foundation Accounting, Implementation, and Client Support service teams. As the manager, you'll provide crucial expertise to stakeholders, internal staff, and clientele, ensuring that our software products and accounting services align strategically with end-user objectives. Your responsibilities will also include overseeing customer satisfaction, retention, and growth through exceptional service and a profound understanding of our software and services. This role is conducted remotely from a designated home office, with occasional in-person meetings.

**Areas of Responsibility & Duties Include, but are not Limited to:**

1. **Leadership & Strategy:**
- Cultivate a culture of excellence, collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Act as a thought leader and expert on endowments, driving success across people, processes, and technology.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across business units to foster a customer-centric, seamless success experience.

2. **Team Management:**
- Promote a culture of accountability and professional development.
- Provide hands-on support to team members, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services that meet objectives.
- Recruit, develop, mentor, and lead professional service teams within Client Accounting Services.

3. **Client Management:**
- Serve as a liaison between clients and product development.
- Support client relationships with auditors, bankers, investment managers, and consultants.
- Cultivate and maintain long-term relationships and partnerships to ensure customer satisfaction and success.

4. **Service Delivery & Quality Assurance:**
- Implement robust processes for quality assurance, continuous improvement, and risk management.
- Conduct root-cause analysis of issues in partnership with implementation, accounting services, and operations teams.
- Oversee the end-to-end delivery of our endowment accounting services and software implementations, adhering to project timelines and quality standards.

5. **Financial Management:**
- Ensure resource allocation aligns with capacity and client demands.
- Analyze service level agreements against time logs and address any overages with clients.
- Identify opportunities for upselling and expanding service offerings to drive new business growth.

**Requirements:**

- **Education:** Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
- **Licenses:** CPA, current and in good standing.
- **Experience:** 12+ years of progressively responsible financial accounting or auditing experience working with nonprofits, along with 5+ years of supervisory experience leading teams and managing client relationships.
- **Technical Competence:** In-depth understanding of FASB, GASB, GAAP, UPMIFA requirements, business processes, internal controls, and financial accounting.
- **Information Security:** Experience handling sensitive, confidential information professionally and responsibly, with a security-forward approach to all transactions and activities.
- **Audit:** Thorough knowledge of GAAP accounting principles and procedures, with the ability to navigate and interpret nonprofit financial statements.
- **Proprietary Platform:** Ability to develop advanced proficiency with our web application and supporting systems.
- **Tools:** Proficiency with Microsoft 365 productivity apps and experience working with integrated accounting systems.
- **Professional Development:** Commitment to ongoing learning and skill development to enhance job performance.
- **Project Management:** Strong time management and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- **Self-Management:** Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- **Communication:** Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a focus on clarity and logical expression of ideas.
- **Customer Service:** Patient and attentive demeanor with a focus on finding effective solutions.
- **Attention to Detail:** Analytical and process-oriented mindset.
- **Location:** East Coast time zone preferred, with ideal locations in Virginia or North Carolina.
- **Connectivity:** Access to reliable, high-speed internet.
- **Clearance:** Ability to pass background and credit checks and adhere to confidentiality agreements.

**Compensation:**
