Requirements: - Valid and active Nursing Assistant Certificate (CNA) issued by the State of California
- At least 12 consecutive months of performing similar services within the last 3 years
- BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross (with AED)
- Must be proficient in the English Language (Speaking/Writing)
Responsibilities: Under the direction of the CEO/CNE or designee, the CNA will provide services within the CNA scope, following the facilities' policies and procedures. Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Assisting patients with daily living and providing nursing care.
- Performing and documenting rounds of patients receiving medical or psychiatric care.
- Reporting changes in patients' conditions to the Registered Nurse (RN).
- Obtaining specimens for diagnostic testing.
- Assisting other non-custody staff in providing patient care.
- Preparing documentation for patient transfers to other institutions/facilities or special appointments.
- Completing required documentation of patient care.
- Cleaning, maintaining, and checking equipment.
- Managing inventory, ordering, and checking supplies.
