Job Summary
As a Mechanical Assembler in Unit Rebuild you will perform various operations including but not limited to; disassembly, inspection and reassembly of rotating equipment including gas turbines units, and centrifugal compressors from multiple OEM's. This position may be required to flex between first and second shift as needed.
Job Description
- Maintain a Safety-first mindset.
- Demonstrate familiarity with hand, pneumatic and hydraulic tooling Accurately use precision measuring equipment (ID / OD / depth micrometers, calipers, etc.).
- Possess a strong mechanical aptitude with ability to independently comprehend complex machining or assembly drawings.
- Work as a team member to follow detailed work routers for inspection and repair of units and rotating equipment while under demanding time constraints.
- Provide onsite support as needed
Skills Required
- Preference for gas turbine experience.
- Experience with crane rigging and complex lifts
- Experience with hydro-testing new and repaired casings / vessels
- Minimum 5 years of overhaul and repair experience in at least one of the following areas: GE10, PGT 10/PGT 25, Frame 3/Frame 5, Expanders, Steam turbines, or Turbo machinery (single/multistage, axial flow centrifugal compressors, cryo turbo-expanders, hot-gas expanders, oil free rotary screw compressors, and/or centrifugal pumps).
- Advanced degree can be substituted for experience.
- Rotating element disassembly / reassembly and rotor balance experience

- Experience with hydro-testing new and repaired casings / vessels
- Familiarity with job-shop, manufacturing, or field service environments
- Strong mechanical aptitude with desire for hands-on work

Education/Training/Certifications
- High School Diploma / GED from an accredited school or institution
Additional Requirements
- Work overtime, weekends and holidays, as required.
- Work in a constant pushing, pulling, lifting, stretching, bending and other physical activities.
- Be in the shop environment a minimum of 8 hours per day, primarily standing and sitting, as required.
- Lift objects weighing up to 35 lbs.
- Special Equipment Required: Steel toed boots.
o 1 st Shift, Monday - Friday 6:00am - 2:30pm but candidates need to be flexible to work weekends,
o or move to 2 nd Shift, Monday - Friday 2:00pm - 10:30pm depending on business needs.
